Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish people settled in the Port Arthur (Thunder Bay, Ontario) area before the 1900's.  While some newcomers came directly from across the ocean, others found their way from the United States of America (Minnesota, Michigan etc.).  This series of photographs depicts life from early 1900-1945 around Court and Bay Street (Finnish Labour Temple, Port Arthur Collegiate).  A special thank you to D.P.
